NUBIA THE MC

Nubia the MC started her career in HIP Hop as a radio personality on WRFG 89.3 FM atlanta georgia where she produced and was the deejay on her own uncensored rap radio show "The Underground" in 1992

In 1999 along with producer Just in Casey, she wrote "Be All you can Be', a song featured on a compilation album "If the Ocean had a Voice". The CD was produced and sold as a fundraiser for the Middle Passage Project, which was an organization founded to provide the Ancestors who died in the Middle Passage a sculpture that served as a headstone...which was ceremoniously lowered in the Atlantic Ocean.

In 2017, after relocating to nyc, her native city, Nubia the MC performed at Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater the song "the Voice in the Darkness" produced by Okera Ras I of the Music Room. She came in 4th Place.

She has performed at many festivals , open mic events and stage shows.featuring her original poetry pieces and rap songs.. As an actress she appeared in season 7, episode 11 and beyond of "orange is the New Black' archived on Netflix, and Loyalty a film directed ny J.L. Smith now showing on Tubi.

For the 50th anniversary of HIP HOP, nubia the mc graced the stage in 2023 at the Universal HIp HOp museum and performed 'Its All About Him for First Dime booking agency ...at the direction of Jewelie Norales

Nowadays, Nubia is promoting and performing songs off her debut album "The Uptown Queen" . A "classical Hip Hop album featuring 11 songs produced by DJ Okera Ras I ...Big Frenchie and DJ Eman. Collaborations on the project include songstresses Katherine F. Hoxie, Charlene Thorpe and Female Beat boxer Miss P
