A breath of fresh air has just arrived on the scene for the New Year.
Calloway The Novelist is an independent rapper /song writer with a creative gift. His music is a reminiscent of the Golden Age Of Hip Hop. With a uniquely modern
approach of bringing awareness to the people of the times we are living in today.
Raised in a single parent house hold in which he was influenced by the music of Marvin Gaye, Micheal Jackson, Peter tosh , Bob Marley, Whitney Houston and also gospel legend Mahalia Jackson just to say the least. The genre of music he indulges in is hip hop / rap and been doing it since 1995.
He got started doing rap music after being influenced by his older brother who wanted to DJ. As a result of his environment and progression his love for the culture is which led him to get accustomed to the drums and funky beats from the late 80,s to the early 90,s of hip hop undergrounds cuts. From the Fat Boys to Onyx to naughty by nature etc.
As he got older he found himself amongst his Juinor High School peers in which he later found out was influenced by rap as well. From there his path was head strong on tryin to create original rap underground music. As he gotten older he started his own Music Group called Novelties Music Group in 2005. He networked and gathered producers who were willing to work and create original music that could be sold on the internet.
His catalog consists of 4 albums independently created under NMG. The first album was titled "Secret Ballot"
The second album was titled When the Calm is Beautiful the third album was The Rebirth of Greatness "The Untold Stories " and the 4th album was titled Restored “All By My Lonely” fully produced by Young Drumz.
Calloway The Novelist is no amateur when it comes to gracing the stage. He recently performed @ SoBS for First Dime Bookings
where he debuted his New single titled Everything I need produced by Gary Petersen aka as GMoney from Legindary Ent.
He also had the honor to perform at the Queens Library for the legendary Dj Ralph McDaniels in honor of Hip Hop 50th. Even though it’s hard to keep active now a days he continues to drop visuals and mixtapes on YouTube and SoundCloud to express his creativity freely.
